― Guru Nanak
Following the teachings of our Gurus, serving Humanity beyond the boundaries of a Gurudwara!
The common activities associated with any Sewak Jatha are like doing Sewa related to Karah Parshad, Langar, Jorha (shoes) Ghar, distributing water and other similar activities, particularly in large gatherings of Sangat.
Also, Sewa is considered to be done mostly in the Gurudwara premises. Outside the Gurudwara somehow loses its sanctity. The limitation is not in Sewa, it is in our minds. Sewak Jatha Dadar aims at breaking this assumed barrier of Sewa and moving ahead, particularly in the sphere of Education. We believe that helping a student in pursuing his/her studies and getting Educated is also a type of Sewa.
Our Gurus have always encouraged us to get Educated and to learn as many languages as we can. After all, we are the worshippers of Shabad (Gyan / Knowledge). Hence all of our Educational Activities are related to this school of thought.. Our vision also includes working towards having our Gurudwaras keeping aside a part of the Golak money towards Education of our Youth.
And, transforming every Gurudwara into a Learning Centre where Value based Education is provided to our students, be it Gurmat or Academic.
